12/4 and 12/7

Had a nice morning out Friday around WB. Water pouring in the inlet was 60 so I quickly changed gameplans and went for some reds. Took a little while to find them but then it was on. Caught about a dozen up to 28 inches then left them be. They hit doa shrimp and gulp shrimp. Went looking for dinner but all I could catch were spikes today. Hit several spots hoping for some bigger ones but nothing over 16 inches. Doa jerkbaits were the trick, nothing on mirrolures this trip.

Monday was cold and the water temp was 48 on the flats when I started. It warmed to 50 and the reds started chewing. Caught several between 19 and 26 inches before they started scattering. Next couple spots were dead but found another pod of fish to finish they day before had to get to work. Caught several on 1/8 oz hook with doa jerkbait then had to go weightless.
